I'm always happy to receive feedback on my writing. If you liked one of my books (or hopefully - all), please take the time to leave a review on vendor and other sites (like Amazon and Goodreads)? It doesn't have to be a fancy New York Times- type review. Just 20 words or more. It helps so much to enable others to find my books.

Interested in hiring me for graphics or editing?
I create Book Covers, ads, logos, bookmarks, & whatever graphics are needed for promotional materials. About Book Covers - I've designed them for indie authors & publishing houses, too. eBook covers, paperback & hardback covers, and audio book Covers. A short synopsis of the book really helps. I begin with a few (very) rough concepts. The client chooses one, then we fine-tune it - the fonts, spacing, sizes, colors, backgrounds, etc. everything gets tweaked and tweaked until it's done. I do my best work when the author doesn't have a definite/must have in their Mind, but, of course, I'll do whatever they insist on. (i'm no dummy.) But when I can do what hits me? Magic. I can even create original artwork, like the caricature I did for Key Lime Blues & Alias: Mitzi & Mack (in the examples on the left.) About Editing - Anything from simple line edits, to paragraph-level, to full-on book doctoring. I love it all. Bring it on. |

Victoria Landis is a professional writer and editor—and a veteran member of one of the toughest critique groups to ever grace South Florida. She’s been a member of Mystery Writers of America since 2003 and has served on the board of the Florida Chapter. She has also served as the Co-Chair for FMWA’s SleuthFest writers’ conference for 2015-2018 and is a recipient of the Florida Chapter’s prestigious Flamingo Award for service to the chapter.
Her newest book, Jordan, will be out in mid-February 2019. It’s a supernatural thriller and a cautionary tale of human nature and how it hasn’t changed in thousands of years.
She wrote a monthly humor column for The Parklander magazine for ten years. She has two novels out. Blinke It Away, a suspense set on Oahu, was chosen a BookRooster Reviewer’s pick for its consistently high ratings. Alias: Mitzi & Mack is a humorous crime novel that takes place in South Florida. Her latest release is a compendium of humorous essays, A Little Bit Sideways, which elicited the praise, “Victoria Landis is the Erma Bombeck of our times.” She has given seminars at the SleuthFest writers’ conference, for the Murder on the Beach Summer Authors’ Academy, and at the Alvin Sherman Library at Nova Southeastern University. She especially enjoys the big picture editing and ‘book doctoring’.
Victoria is also an artist. She does graphics—book covers, ads, logos, and web-ready graphics—as well as oils on canvas, murals, and special effects.
